We attach great importance to the prosperity of the brotherly Lebanese people, and as result, the amount of humanitarian aid provided by Türkiye to Lebanon between September and December 2024, following the escalation of Israeli aggression against Lebanon, has reached a total of more than 1,500 tons as detailed below:

1. Upon Lebanon’s urgent request, Türkiye provided in less than 48 hours after the said request was received, approximately 30 tons of humanitarian aid that included 27 tons of medicine and medical supplies, and 3 tons of food.

2. TCG Bayraktar and TCG Sancaktar, two amphibious landing ships of the Turkish Navy that have been assigned to evacuate Turkish citizens from Lebanon in October 2024, carried on their journey to the Beirut Port almost 300 tons of humanitarian aid, prepared jointly by the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidencyof the Turkish Interior Ministry and the Turkish Red Crescent, as well as various Turkish non-government organizations. The shipment in question was the largest humanitarian aid package provided to Lebanon by that date in terms of tonnage.

3. Another aid package, weighing approximately a thousand (1,000) tons, consisting of bedding, canned food, and baby formula, as well as clothing and hygiene materials, prepared by nine Turkish NGOs was delivered to the Lebanese authorities in November 2024 in the aftermath of a ceremony at the Beirut Port, attended by Hasan Turan, the Administrative Officer of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiyeand a member of TBMM representing the province of Istanbul, and Hassan Mourad, a member of the Lebanese Parliament and the Chairman of the Türkiye-Lebanon Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group therein.

4. Thirty-six sanitation units, each of which include multiple shower and toilet facilities, were donated in December 2024 to the Lebanese authorities by AFAD and were be installed by March 2025 in 15 schools, where those displaced as a result of Israeli aggression were temporarily housed in the South.

Türkiye also intensified in the last couple of years the amount of technical aid provided to Lebanon, as explained below:

1. The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, which inaugurated its Beirut coordination office in 2014, has so far completed more than 275 projects for the benefit of the Lebanese people, as well as the Syrian and Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, with a total cost of over 38 million U.S. Dollars.

2. The Turkish Trauma and Rehabilitation Hospital in Saida, which constitutes the largest TİKA project in Lebanon, started its operations in November 2024 and played an important role in providing health services to our Lebanese brethren, especially in the face of escalating Israeli aggression against Lebanon during the period after September 2024. TİKA also provided the said hospital in January 2025 with a fully-equipped ambulance.

3. Türkiye remains committed to providing support, not only directly to the Lebanese people, but also to public institutions of Lebanon. The building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Lebanese Republic in downtown Beirut was renovated by TİKA and inaugurated in October 2023 by H.E. Hakan Fidan, the Turkish Foreign Minister, on the occasion of his visit to Beirut, and by his Lebanese counterpart at that time, H.E. Abdallah Bouhabib.

4. TİKA also renovated and furnished in March 2025 the waiting room utilized by passengers at the Tripoli Port, and built a mosque and recreation facilities, for the benefit of truck drivers, who on occasion have to wait long periods at the Port.
